FPL seeks approval to invest in producing natural gas

FLORIDA –

This is a classic example of economic vertical integration. We all know that FPL burns natural gas to fire its power plants, they are partners in the new Sabal Trail Natural Gas Pipeline and now they want to be producers of natural gas. One would hope that this will bring efficiency to the process of electric generation and lower costs. That remains to be seen. What we can count on is that FPL will get a return on their investment paid for by its customers. Glad we could help.
