More Questions and Update from Sabal Trail

(WTXL) – Discussion continues over a controversial natural gas pipeline project that would run through parts of North Florida and South Georgia. Sabal Trail Transmission is a joint venture between Spectra Energy Corporation and Next Era Energy Incorporated.

The federally run project would construct a 36 inch pipeline 500 miles long from Central Florida to Alabama. Landowners throughout the proposed route have expressed their opposition to the pipeline.

According to the Valdosta Daily Times, Sabal Trail went to court this month with a property owner in Lee County for trespassing. The company says they are still studying the area and looking into concerns from citizens.
